A manual for the control of concrete construction. Since publication of the 5th edition of the 'Concrete Manual' in 1949, the knowledge of the use and behaviour of concrete has advanced in many important details. The text of the 5th edition has been rewritten or supplemented to reflect the effect of these advancements. New information on factors influencing strength of concrete, as a result type I cement has been found useful for wider use in Bureau work, and is so recommended.
