I, Leonardo by Ralph Steadman – 1988 Picador First Printing – Illustrated Art Book

I, Leonardo by Ralph Steadman is a wildly imaginative illustrated tribute to Leonardo da Vinci, created in Steadman’s unmistakable energetic and expressive style. Published by Picador in 1988, this First Printing blends art, humour, biography, and creative interpretation to explore the mind and achievements of one of history’s greatest artists and inventors.

Rather than offering a conventional biography, Steadman brings Leonardo to life through bold drawings, visual experimentation, and a playful approach to his art, inventions, observations, and endlessly curious imagination. The result is as much a Ralph Steadman artwork as it is a celebration of Leonardo.

A distinctive addition to any collection of art books, illustrated biographies, Leonardo da Vinci titles, or Ralph Steadman works, and a strong choice for readers who enjoy unconventional approaches to art history.
