Description
I’m the Man is the fast-paced, funny, and candid memoir of Scott Ian, co-founder and rhythm guitarist of the legendary thrash metal band Anthrax. Ian traces his journey from a difficult childhood in Queens to discovering KISS, forming a band, and helping shape the sound of American heavy metal.
With honesty and humour, he recounts Anthrax’s lineup changes, record-label troubles, touring chaos, and the making of albums such as Spreading the Disease, Among the Living, and State of Euphoria. He also shares memorable stories involving Metallica, Pantera, Ozzy Osbourne, Dimebag Darrell, Zakk Wylde, and Cliff Burton.
Energetic, revealing, and filled with rock-and-roll mayhem, this memoir is an excellent choice for fans of Anthrax, thrash metal, music history, and behind-the-scenes stories from the hard rock world.
