In a Dark, Dark Wood

In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware

In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware is a tense psychological thriller about friendship, memory, guilt, and a weekend celebration that goes terribly wrong.

Reclusive writer Leonora accepts an invitation to a hen party at an isolated glass house in the English countryside, despite having lost touch with the bride years earlier. What begins as an awkward reunion soon turns unsettling as old tensions resurface, secrets are revealed, and the remote setting becomes increasingly threatening.

Forty-eight hours later, Nora wakes in a hospital with injuries, fragmented memories, and the knowledge that someone is dead. As she tries to reconstruct what happened, she is forced to confront both the people around her and parts of her own past she would rather forget.

A gripping choice for readers who enjoy psychological suspense, closed-circle mysteries, unreliable memory, and dark, atmospheric thrillers.
