Work by the missionary priest Adrien Gabriel Morice (1859-1938), based on "all the old papers, letters, journals, account books, and memoranda" from old HBC trading posts. 1929 news article gives biographical details of the author, stating that he was an "anthropologist, missionary, author, musician, lecturer, publisher, newspaper editor, photographer, stenographer, lexicographer, explorer and cartographer - in short, "jack-of-all-trades."
Includes black and white images and illustrations, a map fold out and a large map in back envelope.
